They are a great way for your team to bond and compete before the fall season begins. Molten Volleyball Camps will consist of individual skill instruction, training and practice drills as well as competi- tion. The camp’s goal is to meet the needs of each individual camper. Campers will be grouped based on skill level and/or age. The staff will not only focus on the fundamen- tals, they will also meet with your coach and present innovative ways to better the program as a whole. Each day will consist of skill in- struction, drills and competition. Players will receive a t-shirt with their enrollment and daily incen- tives can be earned. Players of all levels are welcome. MEET THE FOUNDERS: WAYNE KING: King is the co-founder of Molten Volleyball Camps (formerly Nike PoWered Camps). As the owner/director of Club Fusion and Wisconsin PoWer, King has prided himself in bring- ing top level training to athletes all over Illinois and Wisconsin. Molten Camps are simply an extension of that vision. King has been named Coach of the Year by the NJCAA and the AVCA. In 2006, he was honored by USAV as an Outstanding Clinician. He has coached three teams to a National Championship, in- cluding Kishwaukee College and his Club Fusion teams. King has coached hundreds of DI and DII college athletes. RUTH LEITZKE: Leitzke is the co-founder of Molten Camps. Hav- ing previously traveled the state doing summer camps for coach- ing friends, Leitzke gladly partnered with King to bring the same opportunity to more schools. Leitzke has a varied and success- ful coaching career. In her 13 years as Hustisford High School head coach, her teams won nine conference championships, four sectional titles, two state runner-up titles and one state championship. As club director, she is credited with building Wisconsin PoWer to its present state of five sites and over 40 teams. As Past President of the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association, she is best known for her dedication to athletes and teaching them the sport she loves. MEET THE LEAD COACHES: ROD WILDE: Wilde is an international champion as both a player and a coach. Wilde, was an alternate for the United States volleyball team that won Olympic gold in 1984. He was a mem- ber of the U.S. National Team from 1982-1984, and from 1989- 1991. Wilde also served as an assistant coach with the U.S. Men’s National Team from 1993-2000. He was selected as an assistant coach to both the 1996 and 2000 Olympic teams. He also aided the U.S. to a bronze medal at the 1994 World Cham- pionships. In, 1999 Wilde was the head coach of the U.S. Pan- American team. ERIKA CANDLER: Candler is the former head coach at Iowa Wesleyan College. Candler and her family returned to Wisconsin in November where she serves as the lead coach at PoWer Sauk Caounty and PoWer Dodge County. She is a former Divi- sion I college setter. Her college career was played at Troy State University and Indiana/Purdue—Fort Wayne. This is Candler’s eighth summer with Molten Volleyball Camps. LAINE LEITZKE: Leitzke returns to Molten Camps following a summer hiatus. He is the head coach at Horicon High School and coaches at WI PoWer Dodge County, WI PoWer Sauk County and Fusao VC. Leitzke has been coaching Molten Camps since 2006. KATIE MATYKOWSKI: Matykowski coaches at Sun Prairie HS. She is a former Division I college Libero Her college career was played at Gardner Webb University . This is Matykowski’s fourth summer with Molten Volleyball Camps. We will come to you!
